SAB CENTRE took part of Seguriexpo, the 6th South American annual exhibition of Integral Security, as well as in Expomedical, the 5th international exhibition of medic products equipments and health care services. It also participated in Explore South Africa, the Tourist exhibition venue.

Mining investment has been announced in the amount of U$S 3,871 million
Approximately 275 projects currently exist in Argentina, five of which are large scale ventures. Another seven of similar importance will be added this year.
According to official sources, Argentina envisages mining investment this year in the amount of U$S 3,871 million to be destined in the main to the construction of seven new mining projects. According to Jorge Mayoral, Secretary for Mining, mining will reach record levels this year in investment, exports and the generation of direct and indirect employment.
The main projects are the Huevos Verdes gold and silver mine of the Minera Santa Cruz company (US and Peruvian capital) with an investment of U$S 87 million and the Canadian Silver Standard company with the Manantial Espejo gold and silver mine, both in the province of Santa Cruz. In the province of San Juan, the Gualcamayo (Yamana Gold), Casposo (Intrepid Minerals) and Pascua Lama (Barrick Gold) gold mines, all operated by Canadian companies. In the northwest of the country, the Agua Rica (province of Catamarca) copper and gold mine, exploited by Northern Orion (Canadian) and Pirquitas (Jujuy), where the Canadian company Silver Standard Resources will invest U$S 113 million. It is envisaged that these projects will create 10,000 direct and 27,000 indirect jobs.
